Maguari,nursery distributor and family lifestyle accessories brand Pink Lining, have jointly announced that Maguari will be acquiring the Pink Lining brand.


Speaking about the news, Debbie Grant, Sales and Marketing Director for Maguari said:“We have years of experience in the changing bag sector. We were one of the first companies to bring beautiful changing bags to the UK so this is the perfect match for us! We have always admired the Pink Lining brand and regarded it as‘one to watch’ so it is with great pleasure I can confirm it is now set to become a big part of the Maguari family. Debbie continues: “We have great plans for Pink Lining both on home turf and worldwide!”


Maguari will add its magic and take care of all Pink Lining customers from September 2016, with a view to quickly grow the business both in the UK and internationally. The company is currently looking for distributors in many international territories and will be exhibiting in Cologne (Hall 11.1 stand D28).  Charlotte Pearl (Founder of Pink Lining) began her career under well-known retail guru Mary Portas at consumer PR firm Yellow Door. She built on her success there whilst working at Conde Nast and it was here that the label was conceived. In 2001 Pink Lining was established as a fashion label and within 6 months the bags had been featured in Tatler and Vogue, shown at London Fashion Week and were stocked in Harrods. By 2007 the range re focussed entirely on the family market, fast forward to today and Pink Lining is one of most well-known and loved in the nursery industry.


As part of the agreement with Maguari, Charlotte will be staying on as Head Designer of the brand in order to retain the very distinct style. Commenting on the news, Charlotte Pearl said:


“Initially we started talking to Maguari about distribution but the conversation quickly turned to a possible acquisition as the synergies between the two companies were obvious at the outset. We are delighted to be part of the Maguari family and look forward to the brand continuing its growth and success internationally”.
Pink Lining joins a new wave of brands that have been added to Maguari’s portfolio in 2016. Others include Tummy Tub with international distribution, Melobaby beautiful changing bags, and Béaba which join its long term best sellers including Potette, Bebe au Lait and many more.
